Definitely sort out the the theme
We went (as a family) to what I thought was a 70s revival party and it was simply a party with not even a fancy dress theme.
I was OK as I always dress behind the times but the rest of the family were mortified
PS I could always kit you out and you go as me!
PPS on second thoughts I couldn't put you through that so have a look at the link

My hubby and I managed to get two costumes in a budget that size and still have money left over.
Have some sunglasses and black clothes? Go out and buy yourself a bunch of toy guns, the more the better and the bigger the better! There you go, you're from the Matrix!!! Of course there are lots of other characters who dress in black and carry heavy weaponry so you can take your pick!
Just a few websites i've used in the past. If that doesn't work try hiring something, that might be cheaper too.

I once went as a pumpkin. Got a large box and pummelled it until it went into a roundish shape. Covered it in orange crepe paper. Had a flat cap on my head also covered in orange crepe. Green tights and training shoes. The box was held up using braces and I attached some green crepe leaves to them. It was a Halloween party and I was lucky enough to win. Good luck with whatever you decide.

You can get 60's themed and 80's themed costumes really cheaply from op shop thrift stores and it always looks fab for boys and girls! To make sure you really look the part, ensure you apply your make up to fit the costume as well!

You didn't give many details:
Male/Female?
When, where?
What kind ofthing are you into..........??
Bit vague but......
How about a Superhero, always goes down well and you don't look like a complete tw*t!
Or how about Zoro, that's pretty sexy for a bloke or a Moulin Rouge Girl?
Try

for inspiration, they have some really really fantastic costumes.
Good luck. x x x

Go to Consignment shops. You can find something very nice. I personally, would have the dress dry cleaned first.

I would suggest going as one of your favourite characters off telly or a film.
Heres a great website below that does a range of costumes at affordable prices.
