We should be the ones hating them - they tried to take over our country and took our language away from us by not letting us speak it.
Half of them end up living here too, what's the deal with that?

I am NOT being racist!
It IS something to do with me when the Welsh language is almost dead because we were not allowed to speak it and now 75% of us cannot speak it.
And i'm not talking about general day to day slanging matches or anything, its purely on the internet, we are forever getting slagged off. what started me off on this is is the question i just read, 'where are all the ugly girls in england' or something along those lines, and someone answered 'they're all in Wales'. now this may seem pathetic of me to you, but when you see it day in day out online it starts to get to you.
can anyone understand that?
sorry, sounding like a ***** now....! just gets to me!

This is not a one way thing. I would say half of the Welsh people Ive met, and that's a lot of people, have instantly disliked me for being English. In fact Ive been refused a drink in a pub because I cheered when England scored a goal in the last European Championship!! That kind of attitude makes me dislike the Welsh and hence, we have this never ending hatred, blind that it is.
Incidentally, no one and I mean absolutely no one, is stopping the Welsh language (the Welsh Language Act 1993).
"Half of them are living here"??? Its an open country as part of G Britain and the EU! How many Welsh people do you think are living in England?! Do you want to go back to a time when we draw lines on a map through which we dare not cross?

Well I suppose you make a change from those who claim we are all controlled by the Illuminati, Jews or the Muslims. But really the Welsh? I suggest that rather than a conspiracy theory to explain the problems we have, it is far more likely it is the "balls up" theory. I do wonder if the explosion of those who are following one silly conspiracy theory after another is more because of their wish to believe that some group actually know what they are doing. In fact, one thing that I have noticed is that all of these conspiracy theories depend on the perpetrators being endlessly clever. I think you'll find the facts also work if you assume everyone is endlessly stupid.

If you get abuse in some chat rooms, because you are Welsh then ... Go to other chat rooms! Otherwise contact moderators and tell them you feel under attack from certain users but do not blame everyone in England for hating the Welsh! You only give credence to stupid elements (Not that many of them), you know the type .. Xenophobists to the left, big mouths, little brain cells and in doing so ... Deny yourself from the vast majority of English men/women who happen to be!!! The total opposite! As in ... Lovely.

Why do the Welsh hate English?
Most probably because the UK is divided into many groups who speak English. And it s pretty hard for foreigners to distinguish what part of the UK the Welsh people come from
It somehow loses their identity.
Every nation of folks has their identity and they dont want to be mistaken for another group.See?

English don't hate the Welsh, it's only a bit of fun. In fact besides the accent some are quiet fit. We hate the French.

Well I don't hate the Welsh, they have never done anything wrong to me, my father-in-law was Welsh and if he hadn't come to Yorkshire to be demobbed after the war and met my mother-in-law then I might never have met my wonderful hubby, we come to Wales regular to visit my husbands relatives and I have always been made welcome and never had a problem with any Welsh person.

Erm I'm English and I don't hate the Welsh. I even picked a Welsh name for my daughter and printed up the legend behind it to put in her room.
I'd love to visit Wales but not if you don't want me :'(
