Work hard and study hard is the obvious answer, but make sure you study smart too.
One bit of advice you've already got is to work hard on your coursework to make sure you get maximum points before you even sit an exam - great advice, ask your teachers to check your work and offer as much advice as they can to give you the best possible grades.

When it comes to revising for your exams, it's important that you know what you've been taught over the last few years, it's valuable knowledge when it comes to A levels and university degrees BUT if you're looking for the best results, study to the test too. Ask your teachers for past exam papers to work through if they don't offer them already.
Although they don't tend to use exactly the same questions year on year they DO use the same *types* of questions - working on old exams will help you learn how to recognise what sorts of information each type of question is asking for, and what the best way to structure your answer is.

One final tip, if you do suffer from exam stress, then try and replicate exam conditions as much as you can during your study and revision periods, sitting by yourself at a desk in silence with just a clock - it might help you relax more when the real thing arrives!

Good luck!

as a teacher all i can say is pay attention and work hard...regular revision sessions help, and if you are doing coursework heavy subjects (art, ICT etc)...make sure you've got the best possible grade before you even sit the exam...
GCSE's are relatively simple - if you are prepared to put a little effort in...good luck!

They do check them after you are 20. For example, how will they know how well u grasp maths? From looking at your French Degree? No...by looking at your GCSE Maths grade!

See all those books they give you?

Well, you read 'em all and memorise what they are about and in the exam you write it all down when they ask you. It is totally legal and fair. They cant do a thing about it!!!
Guaranteed great resaults every time.

Study hard but not too hard.

If you overload, then everything will fall out.

Fill a balloon and it pops.

Oh, and eat bananas.
