My amercian neighbour has a barbecue and lets off fireworks, it seems to make him happy and they rest of us bemused, just as he probably is by Saint Patrick's Day.

i don't do anything special when i'm at my home in england on the 4th of july. our neighbours already think we're loud and obnoxious when we have our mates over for bbqs most weekends. i sure would hate to offend them more by rubbing their noses in my american patriotism.
