is porn a good thing or a bad thing?? I'm soo cunfused..some say It's an evil scheme but others say in order too learn you must study the art of sex..help me out

Porn and learning "the art of sex" are two entirely different things. What you see in a porn movie isn't real life so your expectations about sex shouldn't be guided by what you see in porn.

Is porn good or bad? That depends on your upbringing, moral and religious tastes. If you feel it goes against your nature to watch porn, don't feel pressured just because others do it.

P*rn is NOT good, but not evil... P*rn is simply a form of entertainment, not to be confused with reality.

Alot of folks, particularly organised religious types, will try to endoctrinate you to believe that p*rn is evil, a work of the devil, and other such nonesense.

It is true that during p*rn's earlier years (the 70s and 80s), it was an organisation which was dominated by men who abused their positions of power over the women in the industry. Just read Linda Lovelace's accounts of how she was treated in the 70s on p*rn sets to give you an idea.

However, since the gonzo 90s and more than ever today, the dominating force behind the USA p*rn buisness is not those aging old pervs who owned everything back in the 80s, but rather the women who are taking over creative and production aspects of the industry. "Syndicates" (I forget the exact expression) are now in effect to protect the female performers against any type of abuse, both mental and physical. Contracts are dictated that a woman doesn't have to perfom certain acts or perform with any other person she doesn't wish to. However this has a drawback as some female performers are ready to do anything and they end up getting more work than the "prissy-er" performers.

Note however that p*rn IS NOT reality. Sure, there's no real special effects per se, and nothing is ever really faked, but if people think that sex in real life "should" or "could" be similar to that seen in p*rn films they are sadly mistaken. There's even a warning these days before every feature film: "Sexual Activities performed are NOT safe NOR suggested". So don't go thinking that p*rn flicks are for educational purpouses.

The problem we face is that today, even with all the positive chabges made within the industry, the audience remains principally male, and the demands/requests coming from the male audience is consitently for harder and raunchier material. So when the producers start to push the envelope in their productions to satisfy the demands of the public (males), the image on the screen still remains of an abused woman being manipulated by men, which is an image that is unfortunatly very representative of the p*rn industry, even though alot of organisation and associations have tried to break these stereotypes.

In retrospect, p*rn should be seen simply as entertainment, and not to be confused with reality.

It depends on the format the porn is in.
If it is consenting adults, I am all for it.
Some people would argue that the men and women are being taken advantage of. I disregard this argument. It is a job. It's like saying a plumber is being taken advantage of everytime they need to clean out your sewer.
Now, there is 'slap happy porn' where women are slapped in the face if they don't deep throat a very large penis. I really don't like the idea of that porn, I think it sends a pretty bad message.
But then porn is about base animal instincts and wants, not cosby show morals.
Child porn, animal porn, rape porn etc is obviously disgusting.
I have no issue with adults watching straight/gay/lesbian/fetish porn.
I do believe that a better system to restrict porn from the youth is important.

Pornography creates misconceptions in the human mind and makes people believe that the things that they see is what women want.

Some women won't do the things that you see in porn because they don't feel comfortable with it. No woman orgasams while on camera and it's a lot more work than it is.

Bottom line is that porn can be an enjoyable thing just don't watch it everyday and find other hobbies during the day.

Porn is good if it is not too hardcore. If you look/watch porn when you masterbate then you are in the 90% of men who have done this at some time or another. If you just use it occasionally then it is ok. If you get to the stage where you are only turned on by porn then this can be a problem when you have relationships. I have a friend who watches porn movies everyday and has lots of magazines too. None of his girlfriends have liked this and have hated his insistence on watching porn movies in the bedroom as a prelude to sex. This has caused lots of problems for him.

It depends how much porn dominates your life...i think once in a while is ok but its NOT a learning experience....its not normal to watch people having sex all the time because in ALL porn movies its domination and degrading of females/animals/kids/people and SILICONE SILICONE SILICONE!!!
