I visited Turkey in 1986 while on board the USS Missouri. Had a great time. I wouldn't mind visiting again. I especially enjoyed the all the historical sites around Istanbul and bargaining at the bazaars.

I went to Turkey in 1998. If you are into shopping, you will lose your mind (and money) in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul.
