I tend to agree with you. Everyone has the right to pick and choose what they put into their bodies and what they don't. We don't need the government to tell us what to do. As long as we all know that it can be harmful that should be the end of the discussion, not this we're going to ban this because its bad for you crap. How long will it be if they get this enforced, before they start deciding what else is or is not good for us. Let's see no guns, no privacy in our communications, no potentially harmful activities, etc.....

OK...thanks for waiting..
Banning these dangerous fats is important to, not only us, but our children, our future generations. Around 82 to 275 people die daily pre-maturely because to these trans-fatty oils. What this stuff dose is makes your internal arteries ridged and hard.... which causes major clogging of the arteries. It lowers your good cholesterol, and raises the bad, which in turn can leave you insulin resistant. You must remember though. These fatty oils come from soy beans...which in the begging are good....but the industry's add more, and more chemicals to the oils, just to increase the shelf life of the foods. Your health is none of there concern...so long as there product sells. As for your comment about if you don't like it,don't eat it....you have even said yourself, it is everywhere. From McDonald's, chips, cookies, and peanut butter....its everywhere. There is no where you can turn with out its being..with out its poison staring down at you. This....is like a drug. A drug that has gripped the nation. The food manufactures are running this country...they are running you. Will continue to let people die....will you let a little girl loose her father? Or a wife loose her husband? Simply because...it taste good? Or will you...help this nation get over its addiction..and cleanse itself of this poison? Because it will not get better unless we stand together.....

the fast answer isn't any. The long answer is that way of existence won't be in a position to be regulated; it fairly is the entity that reasons human beings to be obese isn't the fatty meals. we anticipate our issues to be solved with the aid of regulation, devoid of any action on our section. isn't banning a substance in basic terms a stand in for the gross inactivity and slothful indulgence that characterizes the consumerist society wherein we detect ourselves. In yet another occasion, we can ban alcohol; we can't, nor according to probability could we, ban behaviors linked with a substance. we could continually rather try to alter our own lives, reject the form of existence of recent, on the spot gratification, and console ourselves with the actuality that being obese is a extreme class subject.

I love the idea, first of all, they would phase it in over a couple of years to give people time to adjust. Second it is fairly easy to replace the harmful ingredients with healthier ones. Third, it is in the best interest of the public because it is obvious people can't control their bad eating habits.

I agree with you, I think everyone should be free to decide what they want to eat and nobody can make the decision for them.
We are all responsible for our actions and nobody can tell us what to do or not do
