to work less and play more is quite a question.
It will depend on your daily schedules. That is, if you want to work first before playing or vice versa. All the same, i think you should make a to do list for everyday, separate the to do list into work and play. In order not to ruin your playing mood, i think you should tackle the work aspect first. The list should be prioritised so that you will know which one is pressing and the one not all that pressing.
Reduce your working hours and increase your palying hours.
And when you are working, devote all your time and no joking with it.
i am sure this will make you an effective worker and still achieve more playing time for yourself.

i can give u idea but it works only after u implement on it
do ur work in advance.
suppose if ur teacher has given u lesson which is to be submited after 4 days. finish it when u goto home on the same day on which it is given to u dont postponed ur work.
if ur Indian i can suggest u" kal kar so aaj, aaj kar so abhi"means"ur work of tomorrow do today, and the work or ur today do it right now"
it really works. u should also concentrate on ur work do it perfectly. work is also a part of life, dont run away face ur working situation
