Its kinda weak if you want to play games. I would upgrade the processor to a clock speed of 3 ghz or more with 512 mb on the L2. I would also get AT LEAST 1gb of ram. A video card upgrade is in order too at least an ATI radeon 9800xt pro.
If youre just using it to surf the internet, its cool. I would upgrade the ram to 512 though

Your computer is good. Better you should install a seperate VGA Card for it. Currently the VGA is built-in with motherboard. The builtin VGA shares with the RAM for this reason the RAM is showing 448 instead of 512

well lets start by its a emachine one of the worst computer companies in the world, since those things keep breaking down so much.
most common problem is the hard drive or power supply failing
the specs are ok for a basic machine, but the ram could do with an upgrade to 1gb, but it depends on what you use the machine
for.
since you didnt include all the specs, eg hard drive, graphics, sound etc..

Good for what ? The 448 MB of RAM is kind of low, wouldn't be good for gaming or anything else that's memory intensive.

it is based on what you need it for .. your computer will be fast and very good for playing games if you increase the RAM to 1GB or more but with what you have it is fine for surffing the internet.
for me I say go ahead and put more RAM. and DDR RAM is good
