I have a AB (same as BA) in Psychology, and I can tell you that the degree is worthless at best. You can't do anything related to the field of psychology apart from internships with Ph.D's which end up really being a few hours of getting coffee for them.

An associates in Psychology is completely useless. The only instances I have seen an associate work are in 1) cosmetology, 2) Automotive, 3) in certain retail jobs that require an associate degree minimum for lowest management, and 4) to be a secretary at a school or some other job.

If you're planning on getting your BA/S, get the psych AA. If you don't plan on continuing your education, you should do a field like Business Administration, Cosmetology, or Automotive.

Unfortunately, there are almost no jobs that specifically call for an associate's in psych, and not many that call for a bachelor's in psych, in fact. If you really want to work in the field, you're usually expected to get your master's degree.

If you don't want to do that, psych is a good stepping stone for sales/business, and for most health-related professions.

You can always get a BS in psych nursing which is in demand (I think). Also you can be an office person at a psyc institute.
