It absolutely can not harm anything in the plumbing nor in the bathroom...The active ingredient is a gas....I don't know what first responder is thinking of but it isn't an acid or alkaloid....probably the best choice in this situation.
USE it with no fear!

close the water on your bathroom off, now empty out each and each of the water get a sponge and placed lime away on it position it way deep contained in the bathroom and enable it soak, this would take in to an hour or so once you spot the stain lengthy previous then you actually can turn the water on, remember to take out the sponge. sturdy success

You're not supposed to use bleach to clean a toilet if you have a septic tank, because it kills the bacteria in the tank that break apart your poopy. If you have a city sewer connection, I imagine it would be fine.

No, it is definitely not a good idea.
I had a problem with that once before and my plumber told me the same thing. It's just common knowledge.
But they do make cleaners especially for toilets; you can find them everywhere.. even at the 99 cent store if cost is your concern.

Yes it is, its probably the best thing you can use because it disinfects as well. Or you can use Coke i heard that works well to clean the inside of the toilet.

Yes, it is ok to use bleach. Just don't mix bleach and other cleaners together in the toilet, they will give off very nasty fumes, and might make you sick.
