Ok, I'm a harcore lions supporter and when aker was playing for us, i admired him and he was definitely one of the most talented on the team and sure he had his problems with the media and all of that but he was playing for the lions and that was all that mattered. And then he got dropped from the side for being a total loudmouth and it was really disappointing for him to be dropped like that and i was really shattered. But since he did get dropped all hes done is badmouth the club he won 3 premierships with and now i think hes a complete ******** for being so rude to such an awesome team and he still had fans in Brisbane who absolutely loved him and wanted him to stay and then hes just gone and payed Brisbane out and made it clear he wasnt coming back which really got me down so now whoever he plays for next year, im hoping Jonathan Brown will kick the **** out of that bastard and i think we all know he will.

Crikey Daffy - you've changed! Like your new look, though

On to Aker - I'm a Lion's supporter so developed a soft spot for him. My fiance is a die hard Collingwood supporter (cough) and can't stand him. He won't deny, however, that he is an awesome player.

I'll be sad to see him go - you're right, I think he does draw fans through the gate, I'll miss his show pony antics

As a Collingwood fan I hated seeing him run on the Pies. That said, no matter what you think of his mouth, he's always been an impact player with amazing talent. He's almost always exciting to watch on the grounds.

I have to agree with rac flemi's answer cause i think he is so arrogant and big-headed that he would'nt fit through the doors of a 747 boeing hanger at the airport, football doesn't need a show off like him but as soon as he retires there will be Shane Crawford waiting in midfield to resume the roll of the league clown

he's very, very talented but has made some mistakes throughout his career, putting that aside I wouldn't mind him comming to the bombers-we need another quick midfielder/forward and considering the amount of experience that he has he would be a valuable member of the club.

cheers,

I agree. Although I am a fairly new convert to AFL, I like his individualistic style. The game has some boring characters but you could never accuse him of being boring. I also think he has the most amazing skills and if his new club can focus him...BEWARE!

Dipsh*t!

Can't wait until he comes down to Melb. where he will no longer be a big fish in a little pond. Most people wouldn't give a toss about this guy, so look forward to him coming to Melb. and fading into oblivion.

HATE. HATE. HATE!
He is a stupid loudmouth showpony. My favourite memory of him was when Lions were playing at Telstra vs Swans in Prelim. final in 2003, Jared Crouch marked him out of the game, and the section I was in heckled him that badly, that he stopped, turned around, gave us the finger, and tried to shout at us, but we drowned him out with abuse! Ha ha ha! Just that was worth losing for...
