people he is talking about field hockey not ice hockey.
please when you guys come in the hockey room to talk about field hockey call in field hockey not hockey, because most people think your talking about ice hockey.

India use to have a good hockey team but nowdays there is no good players in India's hockey team, so now it has become less popular.

being famous or gaining popurality always comes with success. for d very very long time now, indian hockey team has only failed and no sucess.i.e indian hockey is not so famous in india. moreover hocket is governed by a body which is funded by indian sports authority while other popular sports like cricket is governed by a private board "BCCI" and gets fund frm them. indian govt's lack of giving importance 2 our national game is a prime reason of failure.

Because the governing body of hockey is a mad house sacking coaches every 2 years + there's not enough money in the sport+
the professional league (phl)should be made more exciting.

1) THEY PLAY BADLY AND DONT WIN AGAINST WORST OPPONENTS TOO
2) HOCKEY WAS AWARDED" NATIONAL GAME " OF INDIA BECAUSE OF DHYAN CHAND'S MIRACOLOUS GAME.
3) NO CURRENT PLAYER IS 1/100 OF DHYAN CHAND
4) NO DOMESTIC ENCOURAGEMENT
5) NO ONE DREAMS TO BE A " DHANRAJ PILLAY "BUT A "SACHIN TENDULKAR". IN HIS CHILDHOOD ...........
