Saving a life is really simple. It is simply being in the right place, at the right time, with the right knowledge.
Here is an example that happened to a good friend of mine. He was hiking on a trail during a day hike. This particular trail was a series of switch backs. As he neared the top, he was waiting for his wife, and he stepped towards the edge of the trail so he can see the view. Well as unluck would have it, he tripped over a rock, and ended up going over about a 150 foot cliff. He broke his pelvis, both legs, and he was hemorrhaging internally. Because of the way the switch backs were, his wife, didn't know what happened, didn't find out until she had hiked out. (This was before cell phones were common. )
As luck would have it, the Cliff he fell off of was a popular climbing Cliff. At the bottom of the cliff, getting ready to ascend, was one of two people, who had the authority, to call in an air ambulance, and was a skilled wilderness SAR, and first aid responder. This person was able to radio in for an air ambulance, and properly perform first aid. If this person had not been there, or had not had the kind of training he had, my friend would have been dead.
Again saving a life, is simply being in the right time, and the right place, with the right knowledge. Anyone can do that.

Unfortunately dew to the vagueness of the question the are innumerable ways to save a life. To name a few. Averting a murder. Medical assistance. averting an accident. Financial aid. Moral support. Good advice. Friendship. Religion the list is endless.

To save a life one must first kill a person, then use magical rituals to revive that person ! That is how one saves a life !
Now Jesus used to save lives all the time...

Once I saved a teenager who was choking on food. I applied the hymlek? manuever & the food popped out. Perhaps the best way we can save a life, is to listen...and be there for others.

Invite your significant other on top of a bldg. and when she's not looking push her off the building then immediately catch her.
