ive heard knocking on the walls at night otside our house, i thought this might be someone playing a joke but ive also heard this a couple of times inside the house, its almost like a tapping but quite loud.when ive heard this its been at the same time bout 3am.also when its been outside ive heard no sound the the gravel.do you think our house could be haunted?

There are any number of reasons that you could be hearing those noises. It could be some machinery in your house that is making the noise. It could be animals making the noise or it could be that your house is haunted. You can try any number of things to rule out other options, such as having your house inspected to see if any animals have nested in your home. You can check your heating and cooling system. Perhaps it is kicking on at that time. You can search for trees that are close to your home.
But the fact that it happens at the same time repeatedly suggests that it is possible that you have a spirit residing in your house. There are several options there as well. You can attempt to contact the spirit through a number of methods or you can simply attemt to ignore it and it is possible it will stop. Look up information online about the topic and you will find additional help.

we have been in our home over 20 years now, but when we were new here my husband and I both heard knocking as if someone were hammering on the front porch, and twice in a back corner of the house. It was like hammer noise a few times, then pause, over and over. like someone driving nails. While it happened once in the daytime we went in and out trying to find a source but found none. The house is over 140 years old.

I have been researching the paranormal for about a year now,becauseI am putting together a website dealing with it.Many cases of poltergeist activity have begun with rappings or knockings on the walls,floors and or ceilings of houses.On of the most famous cases,The Bell Witch began in this way. No, there are no haunted houses, only haunted minds. Th enoise you heard could be any number of things from the house settling, an animal digging and the dirt hitting side of the house, cars backfiring, etc. Most probably, the house is settling and that can get very loud.

It's more than likely a spirit playing a joke on you. 3am is when most spirit activity occurs. Politely ask them to stop what they are doing.

you should put a video camera on the side orf your house you hear the nocking then u can tell if it is a kid or not

i think its in your mind...dont worry yourself and try to find out if it is a prank...it might even be an animal......lizards make tapping noises a lot.with their tails..it might be that
