He can do anything to anyone - including citizens if suspected, not found guilty of financing terrorists (like buying their gas?)!
The whole point of Congress isn't to give you a better life or protect you from anything - it's to bring Bush closer to dictatorship!
Now more than ever I smell 2008 elections being cancelled.

Doesn't he just wish.
How many terrorists has he arrested and prosecuted? This law isn't coming about because its neccesary for the country's security but just to give Bush and his cronies more powers and turn him into even more of a dictator.

You are NOT over reacting. Unfortunately nobody seems to care. Will anybody start protesting when they start rounding up all the Muslims in the U.S.? I doubt it. You are right George Bush will be the last American president...because we are gonna get nuked before 2008 and I don't think any country in the world will shed a single tear. The American experiment in Representative government officially ended today with the war on terror bill (or whatever clever name they gave it). Say Bye Bye everybody.

I'm with you, and I find myself wondering why people (such as the first person to answer your valid question) don't have a clue to his Fascist tendencies!! The people in this country have become so complacent and soooo ignorant--it boggles the mind!! Just look what he's gotten away with so far, right in front of our faces!! He doesn't even need to do it behind our backs, because people here are SO EFFING STUPID!!! All I have to say is that we had better CLEAN HOUSE (AND Congress!) in November, because there is not even ONE Re(tard)publican in either Chamber that has the conscience, the guts, the fortitude, or the honor to stand up for the forgotten Americans: the middle class and the poor!! 4) If politicians are conspiring to create a monarchy, why not just stage elections? Why would they need to be cancelled?
