Yes, you can trust eBay.

eBay is very careful with a person's account. If you change your password they will email you a note in case if this is an identity theft situation. They consider this to be very important so they use the exclamation points.

eBay knows your ISP address, they have to so they can be sure you are not trying to defraud anyone.

If you get a message from anyone like Pay Pal, eBay, Yahoo, your bank or other companies like this then DON'T click on the link in the email. Instead go to the company's website, log into your account and conduct your business there. Then you are sure you will not be a victim of fraud. Normally if these companies' want to do something sensitive with your account, like anything that involves your identity, they will tell you to go to their site and handle it there. If you click a hot link in a phiser email (a fraudulent email sent to gather your personal data) then it could run a virus on your computer. A virus like a keyboard stroke logger that can record your personal data and then transmit it to the phiser.

First off why did you change your password? Did eBay send you an email saying they needed you to change or verify your password? They shouldn't have and WOULDN'T have, that is what hackers do, they had that problem months ago thought it was done with.
Since it has !!!! in it I would go to eBay and contact them explaining this to them, they would then probably have you cancel your account and create a new one. Just don't use any LINKS to go to eBay thats also a big no-no, directly type http://www.ebay.com in your browser address bar.
Just contact eBay and they will be able to check into it. NEVER click a link in email to go directly to eBay or PayPal, just use your bookmark or type the address directly into your web browser address bar... You really really have to take precautions these days online.. there are all kinds of sneaky ways people can steal all your info and you won't even know it. Also do a spyware scan, just to make sure they didn't plant something on your PC that tracks key codes and passwords.
Good Luck!

ok, in case you've been despatched something like that, then it changed into no longer from e-bay. you could confer with them on line and it does no longer take that lengthy. tell them what occurred. they have had alot of problems with human beings pretending to be e-bay only to get your own info. maximum likely you probably did no longer have a hacker till you gave them that innovations. All info inclusive of passwords needs to get replaced on the e-bay web page itself no longer through digital mail. contact them imediatly earlier you've a probelm with junk mail, unwarrented sales or purchases or id robbery. this would nicely be a significant undertaking. Dont wait do it now!
