I feel so bad for you! I am going thru the exact same thing and I know how much it sucks!! (I'm 33)

I think you are right, it is that we are aging, and I think maybe something about getting older and not having had babies yet (I haven't anyway), I feel like my body is trying to punish me for not making babies yet. Evil gyn system...ughhh

Anyway, I think it is the drop in hormone levels that lets our periods come that is getting more severe and making us uglier and uglier every month, I've finally decided I have to go back on a birth control pill with a tapered hormone dose so that I don't drop so low and feel so bad and get so incredibly irritable.

Funny the other person mentioned St. John's Wort, I have been like "loading" myself with it about two weeks after my period, when I know I am going back into pms so that by the time I am getting really irritable I will hopefully at least be a little more tolerable at work, it is embarrasing when your coworkers have figured out when you have pms.

I think the SJW does work, but you have to either stay on it all the time, which I don't, or load it in your system for several days before you will feel a little less stressed and mad. But probably the most consistent way to deal with this is one of those three level birth control pills that never lets your hormone level drop too low!

Good luck in the battle with the hormones! Doesn't it make you look forward to menopause!!!!!!!!!!!!

eh, i have always had horrible mood swings every month..i'm only 21 too. i couldn't imagine what i would do if they got worse with age! lol.
perhaps you should seek herbal help, such as st. john's wart? not sure if that must be taken daily, but it wouldn't hurt to research it.
the only thing i know now to do, is to take a deep breath and think about the situation before i start to yell...relax, give yourself some time out during the day when you are feeling that way. take a bubble bath, write in a journal..it helps release tension. good luck. ;-)
