From Sri Lanka I think....first elected to the post in 1960, after her husband was assinated by a duranged Buhdist monk, she was the world's first woman Prime Minster. Hon. Sirimavo R. ... Prime Minister Sirimavo Bandaranaike
But there were numerous and murerous women leaders before her.

Born: May 3, 1898
Died: Dec 8, 1978
She was one of the founders of the State of Israel.
I'm not positive she was the very first Prime Minister.
