I wish i had it that good! Mine is: roll out of bed at 6, boil the water, quick shower, make the instant coffee, throw on some clothes, drink coffee in one big gulp, grab a piece of fruit and head down the stairs, out the door in time to catch the 6.30 train into the city for work. five days a week. what a drag!

Typically it’s between 4 and 4:30am, I wake up and shut off the alarm before it wakes up my honey. I only set my alarm as a safeguard. I head for the kitchen to make either a cup of tea or coffee depending on my mood. If I am off from work I will go for a bike ride first then back to the house for a shower and all the rest of the personal primping. Then it’s time to wake my beloved mother; make her some breakfast so she can take a myriad of medication (nine separate prescriptions. Oy! A meal in itself!). We will joke about it every day like it’s the first time she has to do it; typically at the end she will call me a “sick ticket”. Then it is some personal catch-up time reading my friends blogs on yahoo 360 before I head off to work.

Press the snooze button a minimum of three times, get out of bed, make coffee, have a cigarette, space out while the coffee is brewing, drink coffee, have another cigarette, shower, dress, then run like hell for the bus.

I go straight for the coffee maker, then I make lunch for my husband and get his vitamins together (we each take 21 different ones) while he showers and gets dressed for work.
Then I kiss him goodbye, and have a breakfast and my own coffee, unless he's working a really early shift.
If it's four a.m., I just go back to bed.

wake up, smack alarm clock, fall asleep, repeat. after a couple more times of this, gaze blearily at clock, yell, Oh, crap!", jump up, grab cleanest pair of clothing I can find, brush teeth, run out the door, pulling clothes on and my stuff as I run through the house. how's that for a ritual?

out of bed at 7;00 coffee, check my answers and email, shower, stop for a monster, off to work at 8:15, start at nine. on days off, sleep till 8:30 or nine, coffee, turn on the computer, hit the jukebox or go to x.m. on line, crank the speakers. clean the house, shower, then figure out my day.

wake my kid up
get out clothes for her
send her to brush her teeth and wash her face
wait 15-20 minutes
scold her for taking too long
check her backpack to make sure homework is done and signed and that she has money
drive her to school
come home
go back to bed.

out of bed 7 a.m., turn on tea kettle, go to bathroom, make breakfast for kids, turn off tea kettle and make tea, start making lunches, pack backpacks, check email and yahoo answers points :-) while drinking tea and eating granola, drop kids off to school & go to work.. and all in 1/2 hr!
