Hi,
I'm in my thirties, I have always had lovely clear skin ( even as a teenager) and now...I have suddenly started getting spots on my cheeks ! I have a healthy diet, I cleanse, tone and moisturise twice a day but nothing seems to help ! Naturally it is upsetting me, and I would love to hear some tips on how I can stop these " outbreaks" . Has it happened to you ? If so..what did you do to stop the spots?
Many thanks in advance for your help and advice .

Ooops..for all our American friends," spots " as in" pimples", not bumps or red blotches . Menopause ? Already? I'm in my early thirties..but I guess you never know !

Can be caused by stress, or maybe you now spend longer in an air con room? quick fix is to put nappy rash cream on it over night. I know it sounds daft but trust me.

Spots? like pimples or just red spots or just bumps? Need more info.

You could be allergic to something.
It could be wind burn.
Could be pre-meno bumps
Could be a new soap.

I would use a process of elimination. Stop using anything new you have bought. Start out with just your cleanser and moisturizer. Then after everything has cleared up start adding the other products you use. See what happens as you add the products back into your skin routine. It may be that you need to go to a Dermatologist and find out. I wouldn't wait too long and if they get worse definitely go to the doc. Could be an outbreak of roseasa (msp)

Sometimes getting close to menopause causes achne and other skin problems. Treating is just as easy as it is for teenagers, and if you decide to go on hormones once menopause does set in then it should go away. There are plenty of topical creams your dermatologist can give you. Also microderm abrasion kits sold everywhere do wonders for keeping skin looking young as well as controling outbreaks. If you've never had a problem with achne in the past, an over the counter medicated deep cleansing achne wash might just be enough to take your skin back to how it was in the past. Good luck!

Poor you! First I'd recommend "Cetaphil" - a cleanser dermatologists recommend! Its the very best for sensitive skin, be it dry or oily or in between. So then you won't be using cleanser and toner (which is very harsh, and I'd cut it out anyway). If you can find Caudelie moisturisers, go for them, they're on the net.
The standard drink lots of water, and ensure you're eating plenty of good oils, avocados, olive oil, oily fish, that sort of thing.
Also, have you been using new stuff on your hair? Or detergents?
Even buy a silk pillow case, they're again more gentle on your face.
If all fails, the dermatologist!

Its sounds hormonal. Really. It sucks. Stress acne usually happens around the chin and jaw line. But, thirties,....yeah, its winding down, the cycle that is. If you're still child bearing you usually don't get it during those times. Its when your production cycle is winding down. Or it could simply be the products you're using as well. Overload is possible. Skin does react.

Good luck. If its stress "spots", you're not helpin by worrying.

RELAX !!! It will go away.

:-)

Get some acne/pimple lotion, I've had this problem ever since I was a child. I got all the acne/pimple lotion and tried them out one by one. After figuring out which one stops the spots, I use it everyday to get rid of my spots. If you email me I can tell you a secret and fast way how I cure my spots. No money needed!

It could be stress or the lotion you use. I find I tend to breakout on my cheeks from stress, heavy lotions, certain makeups or even the long sun exposure.
Try experimenting to check if it might be one of these causes. Then check with a dermatologist for treatment options.
Also, maybe you might adjust your facial regimen. Good luck!

He thinks its the cosmetics we use.He made me brought all the stuff I use and told me not to use many of them especailly the tonics. I clean my face and must mosturisizn on. thats ist. Make up is fine.

Try going to a dermatologist. They will probably know whats best for your skin and will give you some cream or medicine like material to prevent it.
