The mason's have a rule the says "To be one, Know one." That is to become a mason you must be recommended by a mason for induction. So it isn't what you like so much as how well you are liked by one of the lodges.

it is actually,"to be one, ask one".. you can petition any lodge by finding a sponser.. normally this is someone in your family or friend, but it is not necessary that you be acquainted with anyone.. just call the lodge that is closest to your home and go from there..

You don't get to choose they choose you. You must be worthy of becoming a Mason first.
