We used names to honor people in our family. There was an aunt and uncle who only had granddaughters. The uncle died a year before our son was born. We chose to honor him by giving our son his name for a middle name. Another son was named after a grandfather, because he was the first grandson. Some families name their children after saints, others look of the meaning of some names and choose based on that. If you pick a name with an unusual spelling, your kid will be constantly correcting others (Jym, Maree, Pawl).

Avalon is similar to Avery which is a name I love. I also like Gannon. It's masculine, different, not strange.

I think that the names are kind of long. Might be hrad for the baby when goes to school. I like Gannon it sounds really nice but dont like the girls names. Sorry
