Saddam Hussein knew how to control those nice gentlemen devoted to their religeon. We don't have the stomach to deal with them in the only way they understand. We are too nice. They haven't changed since the first muslim teachings. They are everywhere and dedicated to uor destruction. The only thing is to beat them back using their own tactics, or total inihilation.
Think of a cancer growing in your body. What would you do about it. Some people give up part of their body to live.

This is the mosquito zapper theory of foreign relations. A mosquito zapper attracts mosquito's, but only kills those that come too close. The policy will only work if there are just a few hotheads and they get killed off at a faster rate than new ones are created. This does not seem to be the case at present. Unless the recruitment rate is curtailed, the current policy is doomed to failure. The resources spent to keep an army in Iraq would be better spent building infrastructure to produce alternative sources of energy. If America's thirst for oil were removed, there would be fewer causes for conflict and the remaining Islamic hotheads would lose their source of financing.

The Iraq War is antagonizing the Islamic world. They see it as an invasion of their land, they are especially angry about tortures and murders carried out at the Abu Ghreb prison and others. A National Intelligence Estimate put together by 16 intelligence gathering agencies has concluded that the Iraq War is creating terrorists--it is making people hate America so much they are eager to become terrorists. Saddam Hussein was a bad leader, but both Iraq and the US were much better off before Mr. Bush started his war.

It's a great thing. They're coming from all over the arab world to be killed in Iraq.
Have you seard the latest tape from Al Queda? They're calling for more help because they're getting their ****s handed to them. The tape claims that we've killed 4000 foriegn fighters though the count is no doubt larger. The noose is tightening and they are getting desperate!

To an extent yes. They are concentrating in Iraq and Afghanistan and it's much easier to take them on en masse rather than try to fight individuals spread across the globe.

We sent a force large enough to take over the country, but not to hold it. Yes it is a magnet. Due to unAmerican behavior of the republicans everywhere is a magnet.
