you most likely have a clog, try draino, if that doesnt work get some muratic acid (about $3 at a hardware store for a gallon, or liquid fire, which is sulfuric acid. and more expensive) though i would talk to the landlord if you rent, because he/she should have remedied this before you moved in

Run warm water down the drain for a lengthy time period. If the steam smells undesirable, upload some dishwashing detergent. you could boil water and pour that down too. you would possibly want to as properly boil vinegar and pour that down. The undesirable scent is possibly coming from dish cleansing soap and nutrition yuck that has no longer been rinsed all the thanks to the sewer and began gathering in the curved pipes lower than the sink. various warm water could melt the congealed detergent and rinse it away. If that fixes it, you could preclude it from smelling undesirable again through flushing it with warm water each and every time you wash dishes, or each and every nighttime. Use as a lot water as you would possibly want to apply to fill the sink. it isn't dropping water to apply adequate to make your kitchen sparkling. in case you do not use this sink each day (some human beings do not practice dinner at homestead) and it has a confusing boiled egg scent, pour a cup of water down the drain. If that makes it extra perfect, you should actually do this each and every few days.

#one if you rent your landlord is responsible for taking of this nasty problem. If not then check to see if their is a clog in the trap. If so take of that first, then pour boiling water down the drain. After that pour pure straight lemon juice down the drain. I have used this combination before. It works like a charm and is very cost effective as well. Good Luck!!!!

If anyone in your house is handy, you could take apart the drain and clean out the pipes (assuming you own. If you rent, call the owners and try to get them to fix it). You could call a plumber otherwise. Maybe Drano would work? It kinda sounds like there's still food in the pipes or something.
(Who dumps food down the bathroom sink?!)

Pour Jeyes Fluid down it, you might also want to check all pipes and drains for any blockages and rotting waste, if there aren't any and the Jeyes fluid doesn't work then have your drain pumped clean by a proffessional. Personally I hate the smell of Jeyes but there are those people who like the disinfectant hospital smell of it...

Try putting some egg shells down the disposal. This will actually sharpen the blades and take off any excess food. Clean the trap, and then while running the garbage disposal pore some lemon juice down it.
