If you want 10 points read carefully:

I know what the correct answer of this question is. I am awarding 10 pts to whoever is the closest to the correct answer. The reason I thought of asking this is because I have noticed lately on news shows liberals asking this very question to conservatives, and conservatives don't even know, so apparently this is a hot question that is difficult to answer for many people. Think about it and have fun.

The US went to war with Iraq to remove them from Kuwait. The current episode is not only a continuation of that due to a lack of compliance on Saddam's part, but also because he started getting haughty and claiming he has and would use WMD.

The true "Iraq" war ended a long time ago. Right now the battles are with Islamic Fascists that have made Iraq their battlefield. In addition they have prompted violence between the different sects within Iraq in order to destabilize the government.

To all the idiots who think we went to war for oil, answer this question: Why didn't we just take it, instead of paying market rates for it?

One. The British Intelligence that Saddam was seeking to obtain Yellow Cake Uranium was only debunked by Joe Wilson and other flunkies, Britain still holds that this was true.
The Clinton Administration and the entire Congress long ago acknowledged that Saddam Hussein was a serious threat to our National Security.
He had already shown what He would do once He achieved His goals by massacreing the Kurds.
During the Gulf War the people of Iraq had already expressed their desire for Democracy, why we did not do this then I don't know, better late than never.
It will be to our advantage to have a developing Democracy to work with in that region to fight terror.
As for the infamous WMD's they were found! Sarin Gas, Mustard Gas, Centrifuges for Missiles, Bomb making equipment.
How do idiots think the terrorists are making roadside IED's, with what?
Of course if Liberals get to define just what a WMD is they can always deny their existance.
Also it is common knowledge that truckloads of equipment was taken to Syria just before we hit Baghdad.
If Bush lied, everyone did, cause everyone was saying the same thing when we went in.

There are a couple of reasons that we really went to war with Iraq, but sadly the Republican party has always been bad at explaining themselves. It is no doubt that Saddam was a ruthless dictator and was killing his own people, but that is only part of the reason. After the Gulf war we placed sanctions on him(which are the biggest joke), and subjected him to complete searches to make sure he didn't have any WMD's. Well he broke the rules of the agreement, stalling or misdirecting the inspectors just long enough to move his WMDs or not letting them search everything. He also has been known to harbor Muslim Xtremeists, and host training camps. Anything else???

George Bush invaded Iraq to impress Jodie Foster. Actually, the plan was to oust Saddam and establish a pliant client state in Iraq that would allow the U.S. to maintain a military presence in the Middle East to insure the flow of oil to the west. Worked good, Huh?

US is no doubt a powerful country...However...in order to maintain their status of "POWERFUL COUNTRY IN THE WORLD" they wanted to do some heroic act.and show the world about their "Power"..OK, .....Iraq was a weakest country and the circumstance provided a golden chance for the US to take advantage of the situation and waged "war" forcefully.

I think it is a conspiracy. I think that Bush found a way to avenge what happened with his father's presidency and took that chance. He also has stock in a group that funds wars and in oil companies. It was an easy way for him to make money. You should watch Fahrenheit 9/11. It will make you think about everything that has happened during Mr. Bush's presidency!

The conservatives do know, they do answer, but unfortunately the liberals don't like the answer and so they blow it off as a wrong answer.
