i have done M.A. 2 years in sociology. im interested in jobs abroad in U.N.O AND UNESCO or anyother area. please let me know?

job opportunities for a sociologist exists wherever there are societies! a sociologist can be an advisor to the government in making policies that affect people as a society. and there are umpteen number of social ills in any society and a sociologist can suggest various remedies for these ills. he can work for government or non-governmental organizations that do lot of work for the society.

in my opinion, PhD is an end in itself. the research is done more for self fulfillment. doing research must give a high to the researcher. ofcourse, the subject matter of your research thesis should decide the line that you may want to pursue.

to get into any of the world organizations, you need to go at it aggressively. you need to have a powerful network of people to forward your resume to the higher ups who matter most in the organization.

I'm confused. Do you have a PhD or an MA in sociology? Regardless, if you don't know what your job options are after graduation, then why did you go to graduate school?
