I have heard some very good song remakes, one of my favorites is the Cats In The Cradle by Ugly Kid Joe, I almost think it was better than the first one...

I enjoy some songs remade. I love the Jimi Hendrix tribute album. The artist gets a chance to interpret a bit. For real fun check out some bluegrass versions. Believe it or not there are bluegrass versions of Ozzy Osborn songs. I have never seen a movie though that was better than the original. Making a movie is a lot more complicated.

the magnificent Spider-guy, Karate youngster, Charlie and the Chocolate production unit, A Nightmare on Elm highway, and actually the present Texas Chainsaw bloodbath, all such undesirable remakes imo. in spite of the indisputable fact that I loved the newest oz..movie more beneficial than the unique, and likewise i imagine the recent Carrie remake will be sturdy.

i like them both, but it really depends on what the song is and who is remaking it and also what the movie is...sometimes the original is the best!
