Just a little food for thought. When visiting this site and participating you must remember that there are bad apples in every barrel. Now we don't all think a like and that is a good thing. Just be smart enough to weed out the: UN-thoughtful, arrogant, mindless, ignorant, stupid crap. Yes It may not seem like it but everyone should have a voice good or bad. If someone says something not so nice to you or stupid consider the source and be glad there is freedom of speech. For every stupid ignorant comment I bet you'll find twenty that may really help you. Maybe you need a break from yahoo answers and questions. Take a week or two and just don't visit and maybe you'll feel refreshed and ready to jump back in when you return. We all are here because it's informative, and the interesting and yes it's aggravating and gets our minds really thinking. Everyone like a good debate every now and again. And we all like to let of steam on people. It's just part of being human. Take some time and be glad we have the opportunity to just put it out there.

I do believe you are doing the judging at the moment. I'm a Christian and proud of it. I also don't spread hate. You are categorizing all Christians by the actions of a few (but loud) hateful ones. I understand your prospective, because my best friend is gay and I do see people trying to use Christianity and the Bible to tell him what a horrible person he is. I do not advocate hate directed towards anyone and I am also sadden by all the hate in the questions and answers here. I'm sure that you have received many hateful comments from people hiding behind their so-called faith, but may I reassure you that that we don't all behave or believe that way. Search my answers and see if you can find just one hateful comment and in the meantime, don't group me with hate mongers merely because I am Christian.

Enlightend people? maybe but we still hold on to what we were taught in a church . which may have a different definention of some of the bible verses from others.or leave out most of them and only focus on those that they like .
The Christian church that I went to as a child became boring as the pastor keep saying the same sermons at the holidays.and I went looking for something different that would answer more of the questions that I had/Have at the time.

are you a homosexual? because then i could understand your frustration, im not gay and im just sick of the hypocrit christians who say they "love everyone" but they really dont. people are attracted to drama, and this is a big drama place where you can get a good rise out of people so i think half the people on here are just messing. however, a lot of people can express their true feelings without getting socked in the face and it probably helps them to just vent their feelings. this kind of stuff will never end, (here comes the cliche) but just ignore it. and to add.....we unfortunately ran out of enlightened people when the Enlightenment ended.

Well, i'm Christian, and it saddens me that a lot of people on this sight associate Christianity with hate.I do not hate anyone, and i try not to judge people.Maybe it's because i'm a newly saved person, and my church preaches about love for Jesus and mankind, and is very big on community service. So please don't lump me with all the hateful people.

Yup it gets to me too...every once in a while I just let go and rant..then people just tell me to chill out and relax on this site...but you are right...some of the outright hatred and misconceptions that appear here are frightening...Like, I don't know many people who behave like that where I live...so where are all these questions coming from?

Sometimes we all need to blow off some steam. I too get quite upset with all the hate and ignorance I see, not only here, but in daily life as well.
But, what brings me back to peace is looking at my family and knowing we're fine, we're all loved, we're all safe, healthy and happy.
I also remind myself of something my son said just the other day. "I would rather just have you and (insert my partner's name here) be there for my graduation. I mean, you two are who actually raised me!"
This statement was in reference to a phone call I recieved from my ex-husband demanding tickets for his entire family (a brood of eight in all) to MY son's graduation. Yeah, my son is also his son, but he didn't raise him! He CHOSE not to be a more active part of MY son's life..and now he dares to demand to be there for his graduation? As IF?
Nope, I just re-listen to my son's voice in my head and I know....we're just fine!

Honey, opinions are like armpits, everyone has them and they stink every now and then. But, you are correct, some people on here go a little overboard and can be "mean". Just do your thing and have your beliefs and that is all that matters.

People may be a little freer here to say what they want in relative anonymity, and you'll have more trolls just in it to get a rise out of you, but this IS still a reflection of "the real world". People kinda suck; there's much work to be done.

Well, even Christians should be able to understand, by now, that people DON'T WANT TO BE SAVED.
If someone wants to be de-gayefied, he should become christian, but everybody (at least in this Q&A section) is happy being gay, and has no intention, whatsoever, to change that!
