Spongebob has been on nick for a long time now, and with the obsessions with spongebob clothes, dolls, toys, etc. the show is almost becoming cliche. Personally I've never understood the insane obsession so many kids and adults have with him.

Well, lets look at it this way. How long did Bugs Bunny last (1938-2002) and you can bet that still isn't going to be the end of that dang rabbit. Actuall, I don't mind Spongebob, I can let my kids watch and not worry about language or otherthings that they don't need to see.

What's wrong with kids being happy? You had a favorite as a kid, didn't you? Kids like goofy things, that's what being a kid is. When I was growing up, I liked Disney movies, I didn't watch many cartoons on tv like the half hour ones. It's probably better to watch a half hour show rather than a two hour movie anyway. Well, they do have the spongebob movie. I don't understand the obsession with mickey mouse nor do I like him much, but I don't care if he's around forever; there's a lot of things in the world people don't like, they just need to get used to it.

The library stands already well past 65 half-hours, so probably not too much longer. The writing quality has been noticed lately to slip, this may be a sign that they are getting ready to wind down the production. This procedure, once the fat lady has actually sung so to speak, may actually take a year or longer to play itself out, given the logistics of the New York-Hollywood-Seoul animation production chain.

I think that show is incredibly irritating.. my son watches it and loves it. Actually SS is not the worst thing on tv though.. there is some real crud out there. At least SS is not some malicious character - he usually means well even though he's totally inept and goofy. As far as I can tell he's still hot, lots of SS clothes coming out and now a new video game "Diner Dash". I predict around 7 more yrs. Are you ready? Are you ready? I'm ready! I'm ready! ... :-)
