Not having responsibilities and deadlines.
The sense of security when you don't even know what that is. You fall asleep in the back seat knowing that mom and dad have it covered. The next day you wake up in your bed, and think that all you have to do all day is play with friends, and think about candy.

Is this some subtle hint about a certain southern state?
But if you're just asking what I miss about it, then I'd say I miss not ever worrying about what other people thought about me, and having to manage complex and delicate social situations. Back when people my age didn't have these walls built up and artificial social nonsense grafted on.

Long Summer Days & balmy nights at the shore while on vacation. When you're young you really can enjoy these. Also, not having to be responsible for everyone. Having someone care and worry about me again.

I miss playing games with my brothers. Now that we are older and we are all married (well except for one he is getting a divorce), we only see each other about twice a year. And and it wasn't until recently that I realized that I miss them.

That all the secrets, mysteries and fantasies that made up the wonderment of childhood are all gone! That there is no such thing as Santa Clause, no fairies, leprechauns nor elves hiding behind trees. That, that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow never existed. Watching your parents age and never again be able to say: When I grow up, I want to be..................................

I miss just hanging with my friends and not having to worry about money and I miss the penny candy!!!

I miss not having all of this responsibility. i miss all the "simple" times in life, the worry-free feelings...makes me wanna start all over..

I miss my parents having good health. It breaks my heart to see them getting old and disabled.

not having any responsibility, hanging out with my (childhood) buds everyday and causing "mayhem" through out the neighborhood

NO worries, no cares, no responsibilities, and my childhood sweethearts Marvis and Cassondra. Man were they sweet!!
