In most states it is very hard to prove you an unfit mother. He may just be trying to upset you. Here are some ideas. If you leave the kids alone without a sitter, If you throw parties with alcohol and drugs, if you bring home multiple sex partners, Going to the bars and leaving the kids in the car at all hours, get the idea. It doesn't sound like you fit the unfit profile. Talk to your lawyer for reassurance in your state. My husband tried this just to keep me upset. It takes alot of evidence to prove a mother is unfit. As long as the childrens needs are met and they are in a safe loving enviroment it is nearly impossible to prove unfitness

a clearn house does not make you a good mother. a bath and food does not make you a good mother.

I grew up in a house with money. Custom made furniture, boat, camper, new cars every year. A huge house with formal dining room. A walk in closet full or shoes and clothes. Many with the tags still on. To many clothes to wear. Fancy resteraunts, sports cars, you name it.

I was clean, well dressed, never went hungry. The perfect life right?

my father was an alcholic who molested me. My mother hated me, and beat me every day, told me i was fat, ugly and stupid. I was underweight, but still told I was fat. I was threantened with butcher knives held to my throat. My head beat against walls. Beat till I had bruses and welts. I was told I was not wanted and that my mother would kill me but I was not worth going to prison for.

Remember I had food, clothing, shelter, baths and a clean house. So when social service was called in after numerous reports of abuse. Nothing was found wrong.

Now 25 years later..... things have changed. There has to be a reason your husband saids your an unfit mother. I take it you are seperated or going through a divorce???

Not really sure it depends on the laws where you live but my sister had to prove her step sons Mother unfit and it was hard to do the only reason they proved her unfit was she was a drug addict and sleep around plus she went crazy and was chasing ppl.around with a baseball bat I've been told it is very hard to get a judge to take kid's from their Mother

It is difficult to prove a mother Unfit! Unless you are doing something that jeopardizes the welfare or well being of your children (such as running a meth lab in your home) it is hard to do!

It is very hard to prove "unfit" but that won't stop him from trying. in the meantime, keep your nose clean, stay away from dangerous friends/places and be involved in your kid(s) life/lives. Also please don't go and screw any of his friends, even if they say they are there for you, have always liked you, your ex is a jerk... don't fall for that garbage.

If you are never home, have drinking problem, beat your kids, or they complain of too many male friends coming by the house. Basically if the kids feel unsafe around you then he has a case.
