I saw on CNN about the girl in Florida who killed herself after an interview with Nancy Grace. I am really down about this for some reason. I always thought the missing toddler story was a bunch of sensationalist porn that news organizations beat to deat, and have always thought they were wrong to do so. It isn't national news and it shouldn't be treated as such: these are people in the worst, darkest moments and they shouldn't be broadcast like they are. But this one has really bummed me out. The girl who committed suicide reminds me a lot of several girls I have known. I have dated a lot of Asians, and a lot of the girls I fall for are a little neurotic and dark. I don't know why, but this story is really depressing me. What should I do?

Just know that not all of the world is dark and pray for the ones who are.

Understand that the media show stories for ratings like any other T.V.show.But the sane people need to see these kind of things to know the difference between right and wrong and that it's everywhere in the world today.

Its okay to be sad over some news but when you over-identify with it, it shows there are some issues in your own life that must be dealt with. Sadness for a while is okay and I know how it hurts to see just news on television but find out if something else is bugging you inside abt ur own life and that might help putting things in perspective for you.

when I'm heavily depressed, and just want to crawl under my bed and cry, I pop in a funny movie or check whats on comedy central. but when that doesn't do it, i try to figure out what makes me feel that way, and help myself through the emotions. Volunteering can help me out a lot as well, because it replaces that depressed feeling to a calm feeling, and a sense of self-gratification. But thats just me.

Do some bible reading, maybe some prayer, I find sage smoke very relaxing and soothing, a bit strong but relaaxing and peace making. People die it is just part of life. My best friend killed himsef so I understand how it can feel.

I think you should talk to someone about this and let them know how you feel maybe you can find someone who feels as sensitive as you do and have a shoulder to cry on. I felt really crappy about Schapelle Corby, the Australian girl who got busted in Bali with 4.5kg of weed but it wasn't hers and she is now spending the next 20 years in Bali jail. I used to cry and cry all the time about this because I could sympathise with her, I just used to talk to my friends about it.

Just forget.Control yourself. Be within your self only as far as the emotional up-heals are concerned. There is nothing any individual can do to change the situation.
