Only reason that would make any sense would be if they were to collide with each other in air. Wear tha helment so if they hit they wont knock each other out.

I jumped from a Cessna Caravan @ 14,000 feet on 8/29/99 & I didn't wear any helmet!

So that ya don't hurt yer nugget if you bonk into one another up there, or fall down as you are landing down there.

If your reserve won't open after a cutaway of the main, you just roll into a ball and close your eyes. The helmet won't save you, but it won't hurt for long either!

in case of hitting birds or other things such as each other or even the plane that they jumped from. i was a parratrooper in the 82 air bourne.

So when they crash land ,it is easier for the coroner to keep all the brains and guts together in one place.
