I understand how you feel completely. My boyfriend and I have been trying for almost 6 months. Every month that your period starts you feel a little less hopeful. I already have an almost 3 year old, so I know I can conceive, just not with him...so far.
DON"T lose hope. There are so many things you can try before you go to the Dr. and get both of ou tested. Try different positions. They say that a woman on bottom helps increase the chances of conceiving. They also say that elevating your cervix/hips after intercourse will help increase your chances. Try placing a pillow or two under your hips after sex and see if that helps. Also try eating healthier and taking prenatal vitamins. They say that taking prenatal will help increase your chances as well.
Good luck and I hope that something works for you soon. :)

Many many women have a tilted uterus and don't even know it. Three of my family members had it and it can make conception difficult. The good news is the solution is easy. Try both of these things: Try the position woman on top, and afterward prop your butt up on a couple of pillows for a period of maybe a few minutes before you get up. This will allow the uterus to stay at a tilt and help with conception. It worked for me and for my family members. My mother was told this years ago when she got pregnant with the first of her four babies. Good luck.

The only way for you to know if you are ovulating is to take your basal body temp each morn, same time and before you get up. You should see a pattern in temps that leads up to and after ovulation. You can get the basal thermometer at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars. I use a wonderful FREE website called Fertilityfriend.com...it graphs your temps for you, keeps track of your fertility signs, tells you when you ovulate and also tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps. You can also use Ovulation prediction kits, but they only measure your LH surge and give you a ball park time for ovulation...they do not pin point it. Oh, and it is possible to be ovulating while you do not have your period, just like it is possible to have a period and not ovulate.

give it a few more months before you 2 go in for fertility testing. Some tips are an ovulation predictor, no lap top computers on dad's lap, both of you don't stand in front of the microwave when in use, no hot tubs or overly hot baths for dad, boxers not briefs, No resrtictive pants for dad, after sex mom put hips up on pillow to retain as much "swimmers" as possible, no douching

For how long you're ttc ? Try BBT charting or ovulation prediction tests,
When you have sex, remain in bed with your hips elevated. Good luck and make courage. My neighbour conceived after 12 years. She even thought she was in her change of life !!!!!

It took me a year to get pregnant without using anything. Just having sex that was it...
Go to http://www.mymonthlycycles.com and out in your period info and it will calculate when you will be fertile and ovulating.
(It is a free and very helpful site)
Just relax and stop worrying and it will happen when you least exspect it

start using ovulation kits (the kind you pee on) and a saliva microscope (such as ovulite). Also make sure you keep track of your cervical mucus so you know when you're most fertile.
