Absolutely. We need to put more non-politicians in power. Criteria should require at least seven years in a 'real' job of some sort.

When the majority of Americans fall in the middle ground and the current representatives fall far to the left or right, damn straight they no longer represent you.
They represent their parties. Why? Because without their party's support, they won't get re-elected. And then they lose their power and their poor self-image comes back in full swing, they get depressed and make movies about nonsense like global warming being caused by man and the world is going to end. So it is a personal thing to them.

Politicians are absolutely non-productive individuals whose sole means of support is the ability to convince people to elect them to positions where they do no work and get treated like royalty.
They are similar to the faith healers on tv that will heal anything you got for a $1000 "seed of faith". They both have the ability to appear fully convincing and sincere while in reality they all just want to get paid at your expense and nothing more.

The majority are corporate whores, but we're lucky in California with Boxer, Pelosi, Feinstein and even Ahnold.

Yes. They just take the platform that gets them the most voters, not the one that will do the most good. And, they just throw these grandiose ideas out there with no real plan to actually follow through with it.
