i am just curious to know if it would go against Islam, or Islamic law or something.
If a Catholic gets married, it must be in the Catholic church, otherwise the Catholic church does not recognize the marriage as valid, as being a sacrament.
so can the Muslim man and Catholic woman get married in a Catholic Church without going against the man's(Muslim man) religion?
although the children will be raised muslim like the father.

or can they get married in a Mosque then? instead of a church.
where are they supposed to get married. a church? mosque? other?

My parents had to get married in a Presbyterian church because my dad was Catholic and my mom was Presbyterian. Catholics are VERY strict about being Catholic only...at least in most archdiocese. You need to contact your church and ask if they would be willing to perform an interfaith ceremony.

If a Muslim man married a Catholic woman he might as well forget about ever going back to his native land. At the least his infidel wife would be subject to death by stoning. Then Qu'ran...Islam the religion of peace...remember?

The Catholic church wouldn't have a problem as long as the Catholic partner (and I think the husband) promises to raise the children as Catholics. As you can imagine this wouldn't go over big with the Muslims.

The most practical way it will happen...she converts and they marry under Islam law. I don't know if they marry in a mosque. Why? During their 5 times a day prayers...the men and women are never allowed to pray together. I don't imagine that getting married improves the odds on a mosque marriage.

Uhmm no i wouldnt think that would go against Islam. Cos Islam requires marriages to be like an "announcement to the world" that these 2 people are a couple now. As a symbol. There arent any rules on marriages of that sort. Christians are said to be people of the "book" so actually marrying in a church does no harm, unless the man has to vow against something Islam does not permit, which i dont think Christian marriages do.

No Muslim gets married in a mosque. Mosque is used only for prayers. People usually go to a centre which is usually next to the mosque which does the so called "contract" for marriage for legal reasons, but thats it. But it depends on the cultural backgrounds of the Muslim person, because Islam itself does not have such requiremenst but there are many strict cultures that deface the true image of Islam in marrying terms (and others).

So you have no problem there. Hope this answered your question. And NO there is no "converting" required from Islam's side as Christians are people of the book (so are Jews).

Actually the Catholic church DOES recocnigze marriages not in the church (I was married to a Catholic, I'm not of that faith). The only thing is that you can not partake in the full mass when you get married and that you can not get married INSIDE a Catholic church unless the one who is not of the Catholic faith converts. Anyone can marry anyone they choose to marry, they just have to decide on how.

I think the best thing to do in this situation is get married somewhere non-denominational like a beautiful park or beach etc by a celebrant then the marriage will be valid. I suggest that the couple sit down and decide what will be best for them without hurting family members or causing conflicts

Each has their own traditional ways of marriage. It's possible to marry in the name of God/Allah in other institutions regardless of either party converting. Joining in marriage this way both parties can be satisfied if neither wants to convert. The individual religions prefer conversion to strengthen members of that religious group for the priviledge to marry in the Catholic Church for example.

Christian and Muslim and he can not marry an atheist woman

He must convert to Catholicism. You could however still marry him but not in a catholic church.
