ok, my sister has headaches usually everyday and they'll last for hours even if she takes asprin or something like that, she has trouble falling asleep at night, she seems to be getting thirsty quite often, and she's usually tired (probably cause it takes her hours to fall asleep). What could be wrong?

Well, first off she needs to see a doctor. From what your describing, it sounds like complicated migraines. There are definitely meds the doctor can prescribe for her if aspirin is not working. Is she having any light sensitivity, nausea and vomiting? Those are also signs of migraines.

The constantly thirsty part is tripping me up a little bit. My first thought is diabetes. Does that run in your family? If it does, you can tell the doctor that you want to have a fasting blood test done just to be sure. Everyone who has diabetes in there family ought to have that done every so often just to make sure. It's really simple. The doctor's office would tell her not to eat for 6 hours and have her come in a take a quick blood sugar test. Just a prick to the finger and the results just take a minute. Depending on the result to that, they may need to do more.

The tired part could come from either the migraines or the diabetes....either way..go tell your sister to get checked out.

Take her to her MD and have her tested for diabetes. Her complaints, especially the thirst, sound like symptoms of this. It sounds like there could be another culprit too, stress. Either way, it is best for you two to be heading to the doctor. Go with her for support and also to help her remember all of the signs and symptoms she has been having lately so that some important information doesn't get left out. People under stress are often forgetful.Even if it's not a disease or something critical,(and hopefully its not) there are medications that she can take for her ailments. She may need pain relievers, anti-depressants, sleep aids or anxiety meds.

All the symptoms = diabetes

I have 3 friends with diabetes. And they had every symptom you mentioned especially always tired and thirsty.

Tell her to stay away from soda and anything sugary. Until she sees a doctor.

Don't buy into the natural cure bull. You can't just drop sugar levels for the rest of your life with any product. It changes day to day according to what you eat. They are just trying to make a buck.

Don't take chances with your SISTER. Go to the doctor.

These symptoms can be caused by lack of sleep for long periods of time , burnout and stress , crash dieting and eating poorly or the side effects from allergies.
More seriously, The symptoms could mean many things including alcohol or drug abuse, anemia, autoimmune disorders, including thyroid disease, diabetes, and lupus (the systemic type)
chronic fatigue syndrome. (The fatigue lasting at least 6 months.) depression or hepatitis.
A doctor visit would be advised.

Could be migraines, could be diabetes, could be a sinus infection.

A migraine can be in any part of the head and is not necessarily a pounding feeling.

See a doctor.

Could be as simple as Mirgaine headaches, and could be sometime a little more serious. Have your sister make an appt. with her doctor. They will most likely give her a CT Scan just to make sure nothing serious is happening.

it could be simple diabetes. or she could have chronic migranes where propranalol or inderal would help. it could also be depression either way she should see her doctor and get on an SSRI or like effexxor or perhaps trazadone, ambien, lunesta, or rozerm to help her sleep. if it is migranes in addition to inderal she could try topamax or like imitrex, and maxalt. she needs to see a dr. she can do so if she is under 18 and parents cannot access records if she does not wish so due to HIPPA laws.
