Where could I learn Purepecha, an indigenous language of Mexico?

Question

I am half Italian and half Mexican. I have Purepecha ancestry from my Mexican side. I would like to learn more about my Native American heritage. I already speak Italian, English, and Spanish but I would love to learn to speak Purepecha. I would love to communicate with the Purepecha Indians in Michoacan.

Perhaps you could go to the Universidad de Michoacán. They may have courses of Purhepecha.

Just a thought. Actually it would be a little bit hard to find Purhepecha courses, even on Mexico.
