Friendship- Is were there is not emotional attraction and affection. It is were two people share a common ground that they know they can trust each other and that person will be there for them. Its were you can call someone up and say hey lets go do something, or just chit chat on the phone. Theres no sensual feelings, or the ever so fatal attraction. Where you know nothing will ever happen because you don't see each other that way.

Love- Its a beautiful thing. Its were two people share openness about everything in their life. Where they have that wonderful attraction, and affection. When you feel like your soul is on fire because of something they said, or a gesture they made. When you can laugh, and be happy. And you can honestly see that person in your life in a committed relationship for the rest of your life. Its when a person allows themselves to feel attracted to a person. when they feel like there mind, body, and soul are on fire.

Friendship you dont feel a desire to take the relationship further than companionship, confidants. You can love your friends.
You dont have your friend on your mind constantly and you dont worry about them coming home safe to your romantic awaiting arms.

Are you speaking of romantic love? I love my friend I care for them and do my best to make their lives easy. When I am in love it also involves Eros or romantic love and also sexual feelings. I do not want to have sex with my friends no matter how good looking they are.

Love is where you would put yourself between an oncoming train and your loved one and die in their place.

Friendship is where you would give a very nice eulogy at their wake.
