ab + b =a +2c
(a+1)b=a+2c
(2+1)b=2+2(3)
3b=2+6
3b=8
b=8/3

ab+bc=a+2c
b(a+c)=a+2c)
b=a+2c / a+c
substituting the given values
b=2+6/2+3=8/5

The answerers who wrote the equation out then substituted the values given were on the right track bu tthe ones whoe showed their work made mistakes!
first substitue the values 2b + b = 2 + 2x3 given a = 2 and c = 3
so on the left you have 2b + 1b
on the right 2 + 6
keep going on each side until you need to work on both sides by doing the same on each side to get the b standing alone as b = ???

substituting the values of a and c into the equation one obtains:2(b)+b=2+2(3) that rewrited gives:2b+b=2+6 rewrited again gives :3b=8 therfore by transposing for b,b=8/3

substitute you get 3b=8 so b=8/3 or 2.6666666.... long way a=2;c=3 so 2b+b=2+2c then 2b+b=2+(2*3) then 3b=8 so b=8/3
