1. Ebay and other "auction" sales type sites
2. Amazon.com's used book section
3. my own "in house book store" where I use sites like alibris and abebooks and addall

Anyone have experience they can share. It will be appreciated.
I am interested in selling all kinds of books, pb and hb. I also have some rare books on esoteric subjects.

I will be asking this question in the book section also. Thanks

i shop on ebay and amazon a lot and truth the only place i've bought used books from is amazon. i recommend it bcuz i never go to mall bookstores anymore, i know i can get it for less at amazon, plus, if i see that there's a used copy available, that's an even bigger savings for me. on ebay there are people looking for all sorts of weird ****, and if you post your books on amazon you'll know you're reaching the book buying market.

The most cost effective way would be to set up your own website, then people order books even when you are sleeping, the next day you wake up and send out the orders! Ebay starts getting expensive, where your own site would be about 20 bucks a year! you can use paypal or clickbank as your shopping carts and it is really easy. Your only job would be getting people to go to your site, until you get it to be popular on google search, etc. you can do that by selling a few books on ebay that you know are popular and you will there advertise your website. If you need any assistance, let me know. we can put you in the right direction!!

I would have to say Ebay. My son has just recently started buying books as a collection item and it's amazing how may books there are on Ebay and how often he gets outbid. It's a really fast moving item there.
