Basically, when you run out of RAM, Windows borrows a portion of hard drive space and uses it as "virtual memory". When the space allocated for virtual memory runs low, Windows has to enlarge it. Thus you get the messages. This is not what you want. Virtual memory is much slower then real memory. The best thing you can do is add more memory.

Go to http://www.crucial.com/ and click on the button "Scan My System". The scan will tell you exactly what memory upgrade you need and how much your motherboard can handle. You should always upgrade to the max so you get the best performance from your system. Adding memory is very simple. You can get instructions by doing a google search.

Virtual memory is the swap file window uses, which allows part of the HDD to be used as (slow) memory
Low virtual memory means that the HDD you use for the swap file is running low on storage space.

Virtual memory or virtual memory addressing is a memory management technique, used by computer operating systems, more common in multitasking OSes, wherein non-contiguous memory is presented to a software (aka process) as contiguous memory. This contiguous memory is referred to as the virtual address space.

Next time this happens, try closing few programs or maybe re-start you PC.
