Hi i was woundering if anyone knew of a good download program that was free and worked well

Ares or Bitlord1.1 stay away from Limewire full of spyware

Depends on what you're downloading. I know a couple though, but they slow down your internet speed quite a bit. Plus if you're unlucky there's ports problems, but most people don't have the ports problem...(like me...)
Ok, there's bittorrent, which is a peer to peer file transfer thing. The programs are like utorrent and whatnot. Limewire, which even slows down your computer a little, and often don't have enough sources. eMule, eDonkey, which sometimes don't have enough sources but gives you more time to wait.
I know I made them sound bad, but they really aren't that bad. Try them and you may like one, and see what fits you the best. I suggest bittorren tthough, it seems to be the one that is more likely for you to download stuff.

It's not free, it costs like thiry bucks but is a great program, with tons of sources.........bearshare
