We're In Orange County and can go anywhere in Hollywood, San Diego, Big Bear, LA. And we want a room too! We might go to Knotts Berry Farm, but I don't like all the waiting in lines, I used to work at Disneyland, and I'm kinda over the theme park. Dancing sounds great. A little alcohol never hurt. Someplace we can spend quality one on one time having fun. He's given me the decision making and I need some ideas fast! What should we do? Del Mar race track? The thought, Vegas crossed our minds, but we don't gamble. (ooooh, we could look for the chappel we'll elope to....good idea, I'm glad I thought of it!) I need more ideas!

Tahoe ski trip, it is similar to Vegas in the entertainment, and it gives you an excuse to cuddle with some wine and a blanket. And there are chappels there too, if you have the license already and you have given up on the whole beach wedding with your family and friend in seven months or so kind of thing. Of course there is the question of whether you bring his kids along for the fun. That rules out the wine but allows for skiing and the possible wedding, (witnesses/ best man and maid of honor). The honeymoon would have to wait but the wedding is a can do. Best wishes if you get daring and do this.
You mentioned eloping. I just took you as siezing the moment. It is not a bad idea. No big wedding, just a really big reception. It will save the two of you maybe ten thousand dollars in rehearsal dinner costs and wedding expenses.

Do you have apple orchards in southern california? (sorry if that's a stupid question) I like to do the cliche fall weekend of apple picking and drinking hard cider. Add a roll in the hay and you've got some good fun! There are often banjo type bands playing on weekends and really the orchards can be very private because of all the trees if you walk past the first few rows.

the world fair & disneyland is always fun... costa mesa's kinda middle & theres nice motel/hotels there
