Not really considering that there are a number of factors that influence the price of gas beyond the simple cost of raw materials. Refining, transportation, taxes, and public demand all contribute to the price.

would you want to get the same pay you got 20 years ago? oil workers like to get raises, too! you can't make $50 an hour selling gas for 25 cents a gallon.
