The song was "Ooh Child", originally recorded by The Five Stairsteps in 1970, and believe "Big Wurst.." is correct in that it was Beth Orton singing her version on ER tonight. (Another almost over-the-top episode, but good!)

I almost swore a "never watch ER again" oath..but it turned out good so I feel better...The song is called "Ooh Child." I'm not sure who it is by though..

beautiful song, one of my favorites, I used to sing it to my kids when they were infants....this is the second week in a row ER has made me cry...what in the heck is going on????
