and it doesn't have to mean for your best friend that you share everything with.. just overall friends to hang out with.. i myself prefer guys.. they are much more simple.. girls are to jealous and always wanting to out do the other or to much drama..guys you just sit around and chill.

I agree. Guys as friends are really great. Lots of fun, too. But after awhile, I do miss the "catty" gossip I can get with my girlfriends.

I prefer guy friends over female friends. I have only one really good female friend. She's the best. But....I get along better with guys. I don't like drama about "She slept with your man" or "I'm letting my boobs hang out, so I can get some". Forget that. NO, you can not borrow my clothes!
My bestfriend is a guy, he's very supporting.
Guys also like to play video games, some girls don't like too. We're here to have fun, not here from drama.

I have to agree that it is much easier to get along with guys. Girls do get jealous a lot and are very competitive. I've had female friends who would purposely flirt with my boyfriends and count the number of guys they slept with and say "I'm winning!" like it's some sort of competition. Guys don't have drama in their lives.

I prefer the company of guys. Women never mean what they say, they will tell your secrets, steal your guy, and spread rumors. Don't get me wrong, I have lots of female friends, I just feel like I need to be overly careful of what I say around them. A girl takes things the wrong way, and is offended or angry. A guy friend takes what you say at face-value, he does not over analyze what you say, and he keeps what you tell him to himself. I was in a wedding a few weekends ago and buy the time we got through hair, makeup, dressing,and brunch I was ready to jump out the car door just to get away from all the catty stuff. It was a relief to meet up with my husband and the other groomsmen.

i prefer guy friends becuz they have a completely different insight to life. sometimes girls have very superficial ideas while guys will honestly tell u the answer to ur question. i always take my guy friends shopping becuz they will honestly tell me if something makes me look ugly - i also always ask my guy friends for advice with school issues like if i'm finding a subject hard.
sometimes with girls, all they tend to do is bicker, bicker, bicker and point out their own flaws (hoping that someone else will say the opposite and make them feel better). with guys, i can be myself.
my best advice to u is when it comes to friends quality is better than quantity. keep a few close friends, the ones u know who won't hurt u, because if u keep all of them too close then the chances are u will get hurt. and always always always treat ur friends the way u want to be treated - don't treat them like crap becuz u wouldn't ever want anyone treating u like crap!!

I prefer guy friends to female friends. Your right, the girls always make everything a competition. Who can look better, who can get a guy first, who can... blah blah blah... Guys are just awesome to hang around. They just like to have fun. Sure, my best friend is a female, but most of my friends are guys.

Yep, totally agree with you! Throughout my life, I always had guys being my best friends or friends to hang out!!! It is rare to find the women in your life who can be trusted, share your inner secrets, all of it, and they can do the same with you! I have been Blessed to have two women now that I'm older, who are awesome, loving, Christian women! However, my best friend,,,,,,,,,my hubbie! We've been through everything, to hell and back, but stronger than ever!!

I prefer to hang out with guys, they are a lot cooler and they dont run and tell everything and try to play u for info on a guy....all kinda good reasons that guys are just more fun.....and they arent as much of biatchhhh as a chick

Girls tend to be catty. Guys are pretty much casual and honest friends. Some of the best friends I've ever had were guys.

i'm very torn. i have great guy friends that i can go to for advice about my relationship and it feels better when im sad to get a hug from a guy. but guys dont like to look at purses or shoes and its easier if you wanna talk about sex to do it with a girl. im not a big sports fan. if i had to choose i would have to stick with my girlfriends.
