I thank the movie started out with a small flying spaceship shaped robot that crashed into a mans window. I think it latered died and had 2 smaller baby spaceships that flew around and fixed things in the restaurant. the restaurant was located in a urban setting that was about to be bulldozed down so a high rise could be built. sometime in the move the restaurant was burnt down by vandals and the ships were able to rebuild it overnight.
