K I posted this question in the Singles and Dating area but I wanted to get a point of view from married people too. Does your husband or wife expect you to get up and take a shower as soon as sex is over? Or maybe married people are closer and have a deeper commitment so this is not an issue with them like it is with someone that is merely dating in a bf/gf relationship? As soon as we are done with sex my bf asks and hassles me about getting up and taking a shower with no cuddle time sleep or rest.

I'm married and everytime i'm "done",I shower. My husband doesn't expect me to but I think it's gross to go to sleep like that. It can cause infections.

If you are uncomfortable with this it is only a matter of time before you will have negative associations with sex. I am betting there are other things that he says or does that make you feel icky too. I would definately take a look at making him an ex boyfriend. There are some women out there who will do this anyway but if you are a cuddler this is not the guy for you. Better to find out now. It sounds like he has some negative associations with sex as well.

in my opinion its pureley depends on the person i find him to be a little anal but usualy thats the womans request from my expierience several woman feel that way i just say use a towel relax and enjoy a shower later together have sex in the shower and then clean up and return to bed then youve relaxed got off at least twice and have bonded more and then when to sleep with each other in a relationship those are definately important things to agree on sex is very personal and very important sex should be comfortable for both parties and you should both never feel uncomfortable with each other you should boyh be able to accept each other what ever the habits are one who does not is selfish and will control everything that makes a person who thry are to some degree i think if your having sex with some one who you dont live with and dont feel like you could tell tell them the deepest of your dark secrets and they would not hold them sacred and not judge you then your makeing a mistake to begin with but if what your saying is the only true hang up maybe he just finds it unclean and he overly thinks about ones bodily fluids everywhere allover and inside it might make him uncomfortable or it might be the smell of sex that bothers him ask him and if you cant ask him then something is wrong somewhere i think your normal

He is too anal. Nothing signals that the lovin' is over like the after sex shower. In my marriage I know that I stand a good chance of getting seconds, thirds, dare I hope for fourths, as long as we are still steamin' in the sheets. Most guys are not like your guy... that is all I can say. I would take his attitude as a kind of rejection, it makes me wonder if he can't wait to get sex over with so that he can have his space again...Best of luck.

He is definilty too serious. Why should you have to shower after making love instantly? It's not like you make love while rolling around in mud or anything. If he is comfortable enough to make love to you then he should be comfortable to cuddle close to you afterwards, it's not like you are dirty or anything. If you were he wouldn't be making love to you in the first place. He needs to get over whatever his obsession is with you taking a shower instantly and be a little more considerate to your feelings and what you want to do after making love.

Perhaps he just wants you to wash away the physical evidence that he was spelunking and left something behind ... or he may be under the mis-conception that a shower right after removes the chances of a pregnancy.

Yes your right he does have some issues ... discuss them with him if he's worth the effort ... or just cut him loose and find a more informed person with whom to share your self.

When my husband and I are done, we don't hassle each other to take a shower but we just do it together just because it's something we've always done afterwards. Your bf sounds like he's just anal and too fussy.

He is too anal. This is an absurd thing for him to demand of you.
If he chooses to that's his problem but to insist you do is a direct refection on where your relationship will go.

My preference is to clean myself and then clean my wife using only a wash cloth. Great way to end love making.

Tell him go clean himself off and then come clean you only after a lenghty cuddle time. See what his reaction to that is. You may not like it.

You need that cuddle time. If he doen't tell him to go away.

Believe it or not, most men do not know/understand about snuggle time. "Wham, bam, thank you, Mam" and other such earthy phrases depict the common mindset of the male gender. Perhaps it is some primitive impulse from when sex needed to be quick so the male could get back to guarding the mate. That said, men can be educated - and should be.
